Chapita Tone Bar

These are a smaller version of our popular Hot Spike tone bars (designed for old classic 1920's Oahu steels). These are a very simple rounded bar made from our ceramic composite material, unique to RMSC. The combination of these clays and our custom glazes creates a very versatile bar that can deliver a wider tonal pallet than the traditional "Steel on Steel" voicing.

The diameter or hand profile on these is almost 22mm (7/8") compared to the Hot Spike at about 29mm (1-1/16").

RMSC is the first to explore the world of possibilities that a ceramic tone bar can offer, and are pleased to see others trying to offer something similar& that truly is the greatest form of flattery!!

This Standard model is 79-81mm (approx. 3") in length, Middy model is 65-67mm (aprox. 2.5") in length and the Shorty model is 51-53mm (approx. 2").*

Available in Juju White, Bayou Blue, Voodoo Black, Mojo Green, Hellhound Red and Yeller Dawg.
