Now you can order custom options EXCLUSIVELY ON OUR WEB SITE. These are not available anywhere else - you can only find them here at RockyMountainSlides.com. Because these slides are more "personal", they aren't usually in stock and do take longer to create.
We thank you in advance for your patience, but know that being able to offer these options to you will inspire you to always search for you own voice. And if you have ideas for other custom options, please feel free to contact us here at RMSC and we'll see what we can do.
We’ve been experimenting with this idea for a while now and thought it was time to offer it to more of you. By adjusting the end profile of the Rail Rockets it accomplishes two things; it lowers the profile of the slide and gives it a more comfortable feel in the hand. And two, by adding a “Proto Bullet Nose” tip it gives you more options to work with...which is the whole point of creating a better tool, right?
We’ve been getting a lot of great feed back and after all it was from a suggestion from one of you that lead to this innovation...many thanks and keep up the great suggestions!!

This glaze option gives you a "3 Tone" Possibility with one slide, by mixing the glazes and the two raw strips of clay, or just has two side of your favorite color plus two strips of tonal atomic nastiness at your finger tips!!
Please remember that you must pair the glazes by either high fire together (Blue, Green or White) or low fire together (Red and Black).
But with these options, the tonal possibilities are expanded exponentially...come and jump into the deep end of the tonal pool!!! Please refer back to information regarding low fired glazes when match to raw clay combinations.

Designed by Jon E. Finnell, known to his fans as Lucky Jon E. Finn when playing with the David Allen Coe Band. Johnny wanted a tone bar that would give him pedal effects on a Resonator and an extra finger on the lap or pedal. And the “Finn” does just that!!
This Standard model is 79-81mm (approx. 3") in length, Junior model is 65-67mm (approx. 2.5") in length and the Mini model is 51-53mm (approx. 2").*

In The Raw
This is the "Rawest" tones of any slide I've ever heard! These slides are twice High Fired and then put through a series of hand and wheel polishing that give them a beautiful "Pewter" finish. If you are looking for Sweet and Refined tones in these slides....FORGET IT - these are not the slides for you!
But if you want Scream and Growl and a whole tonal pallet of Raunchy Nasty-ness to the bone here it is!! This option is available in all models and lengths.

Beauty and the Beast
It's strange how the mind works. I awoke one morning, and knew exactly how to make these slides! Not even knowing if they would work, but they ARE the best of both worlds.
One side is Sweet and rings like a bell, and the other is like something from the Back alley, the three legged cat drug in!! Talk about a two faced slide, this is it!! Check it out for yourself… This option comes in all models and glazes.

This is a glaze option for the truly adventurous!! We randomly streak the slide with a wax resist before applying the glaze and this will keep the glaze from certain parts of the slide and leave free form shapes of glaze mixed with raw clay to create a very other worldly set of tones and ultra/sub Sonics like nothing we've ever heard before!! Each slides glaze is free-formed and will be different & but it is unique? |
We've been getting requests for a "Raw" inner diameter option for our slides and we do listen to you and appreciate your feedback and your ideas for the perfect slide. What we do here is brush the wax resist, by hand, into the inside of the slide so that the glaze will not stick to the inner diameter of the slide for a more tactile feel that some sliders are looking for. |
We have also received requests for slides that are closer to 3" in length or longer and so we will soon be offering this as an option as well, you can always contact me here and make requests and we can see what we can do to help? doc@rockymountainslides.com This will give you another possibility in making that perfect tool to fit your style and needs. |
